Stars Above Stars Below

On February 4, 2012, Neptune will re-enter its home realm of Pisces where it will remain until 2025, generating an extended dreamtime period for all humanity. The best of Neptune is to be found in dreaming the future we desire: the worst is hiding our heads in the sand, preferring fantasy to reality. And, as usual, the choice is up to each one of us.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
~ Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
Trying to capture the essence of the deep blue planet is easier done with art and music rather than words. It is unconscious and collective. Neptune and Pisces deal in religion and all belief systems. When Neptune was last in Pisces 1521-1535), the Protestant Reformation swept across Europe. Imagine what collaborative revolution in belief systems such as religion, government, capitalism, education, might look like. Also, Neptune “rules” oil and water, so we can expect humanity will be occupied with global oil and water issues during this time frame.
The collective unconscious is as vast as the oceans and as unknowable as the universe. For the next thirteen years, Neptune in Pisces will take us on a tour. Zero degrees Pisces “is the threshold between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius, whose exact point in space-time continues to elude us. As Neptune crosses this threshold, we have an opportunity to awaken and use Neptune more consciously” (Michele Finey, Astrologer). I say, dream on!
