Stars Above Stars Below
By Omi Preheim – Astrologer
“I will show portents in the sky and on earth… the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.” ~ Joel 2:30, 31 (Old Testament)
On May 20, 2012, the Moon will again dim the brilliant Sun during a solar eclipse in very early Gemini, which will be visible over southern China, Japan, plus California through Texas. Personal effects of eclipses depend upon your natal horoscope. If you have personal planets at 0 to 2 degrees Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces, then this one is for you!
When I began my astrological study, eclipses were thought to have an influence of 6 months, until the next pair of eclipses (solar and lunar*) took center stage. However, Celeste Teal’s groundbreaking 2006 book Eclipses: Predicting World Events and Personal Transformation tells a very different story. With five years of intensive eclipse tracking, I can verify Teal’s assertion that the transformative effect of each eclipse lasts on average 3 ½ years. Eclipses have pointed me towards imbalances in my personal life, raised my consciousness, and connected me with spiritual purpose and destiny.
As I write this on March 31, the August 28, 2007, total lunar eclipse is coming to closure. In four and a half years, ten planetary triggers from Sun, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, have collected around the theme of internal personal and professional creative revolution. Since that date, there have been 21 other eclipses with hundreds of planetary triggers, for which I have collected detailed personal data. Oh the stories I could tell! Suffice it to say that by the time you read this I will have moved from Billings. Please know that I will continue to be available for consultation via telephone.
* On June 4, a partial lunar eclipse will occur on a super moon at 14 degrees 14 minutes Sagittarius/Gemini.
Heads up: Venus will be retrograde from May 15 through June 26. Time to assess the real worth and value of people and things in your life (Taurus-Libra issues).
