Mandalas For Mindfulness

Saturday, October 13th, 1 – 3:30pm – $35 admission
Mandalas, repetition of patterns and symmetry in a circular form, can be used to calm down, gather thoughts, and enhance concentration. Follow their historical path through a variety of cultures and discover modern techniques to capture designs that are relevant to you. Nature provides many examples, but free-spirited doodles can also create symmetrical patterns.
Expressions in mandala form can also be used in art therapy. Learn how to integrate this art and mindfulness activity into everyday awareness. Leave with a watercolor mandala and ideas for personal, family, classroom, or group use of
culturally- historically significant mandala designs.
This workshop is taught by former art teachers and working artists. Rachel is also a Certified Art Therapist.
