Letters to the Earth

The largest creative response to the climate and ecological emergency the world has yet seen, Letters to the Earth is the first book to chronicle how humankind is collectively processing planetary crisis.

Contributing authors include Yoko Ono, actor Mark Rylance, poet Kate Tempest, climate justice writer Mary Annaïse Heglar, author Rob Cowen, ex Bishop Richard Holloway, co-founder of UK Student Climate Network Daniela Torres Perez, co-founder of Extinction Rebellion Dr. Gail Bradbrook, activist Joanna Macy, Stop Ecocide’s Polly Higgins, Caroline Lucas MP, Prof. Stefan Rahmstorf, Head of Earth System Analysis at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and indigenous voices from the Amazon and Philippines. The book also includes words and illustrations by CILIP Kate Greenaway prize-winner Jackie Morris.

The book is published on sustainably sourced paper (FSC) and all royalties go towards ongoing creative campaigning for environmental justice.

Read Books, Write Letters, Stay Connected

In these moments of separation, stillness and unknown, Letters to the Earth is an opportunity to reconnect and for a new story to emerge. What do you want to say? What needs to be heard? For our key workers, neighbours, faraway friends and family. For yourself, for others and for the Earth: Letters of love, support and hope are needed.

Take a moment, from wherever you are, and write your Letter to the Earth.
