Billings author Giano Cromley returns home with his debut novel, a Montana-set adventure about friendship, wonder, and the search for Bigfoot.

American Mythology follows the Basic Bigfoot Society: two lifelong friends whose annual expedition into the backcountry suddenly gains a celebrity expert, a documentary filmmaker, and one very skeptical college student. What they find in the woods resists easy explanation.

It is a funny, occasionally spooky, deeply warm book about the difference between believing and believing in, and about why wild places deserve protecting. Critics have praised its heart, its mystery, and its generosity of spirit.

Cromley holds an MFA from the University of Montana, teaches English in Chicago, and is a certified wildlife tracker. Please join us!
