Some cultures record their history on walls of pyramids, or on animal hides, or on walls of caves. America Pop Culture records it’s history on T shirts. The October show at Barjons is a collection of about 90 T shirts from the 1960s and 70s. See the famous “STRIKE” shirt from the Harvard Students for Democratic Society (SDS). And “Don’t Buy Books by Crooks, Boycott Nixon’s Memoirs “. And “Solidarnosc” the anti-Soviet Polish labor union T shirt. And the 1977 K2 ski campaign which lead to a law suit filed by the Montana Attorney General. And T shirts from the Rolling Stones, Patti Smith, The Beatles, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Monty Python, Mr. Bill, The Sex Pistols, and The Fonz. They say that if you remember the 60s, you weren’t there. This show will jostle many old memories that you didn’t realive you had.
